What style do you shoot?

I like to meet the couple beforehand to get to know them and what they are looking for in a photographer. I believe the photographer is there to record the event and not dominate or direct the day. I offer a mix of modern reportage, i.e. background natural shots showing the story of your day, along with traditional photography should the couple want that as well……its not often all the family are together and looking so smart!
I also record many of the tiny details that you have spent so long getting right; the table settings, flowers etc.

What does it cost and what is included?

I offer two styles of packages; 'Simply Photographs' quotes for my time and provides you with the photographs, and the 'Art Book' is based on the whole day being recorded and photographs displayed in a luxurious art book. Each page is unique and has its own design. Whatever package you require you will receive a superb quality proof book with all the photographs taken for you to keep, and choose your final prints from.
Please refer to my 'weddings' page of the web site to discover more about what is included and the cost of each package.

Do you include a wedding album?

For the 'Simply Photographs' package the quote does not include an album, this is because many people regard this as a personal choice and prefer to make their own arrangements. It also gives you more flexibility in the budgeting of your wedding photography.
However, I can supply wedding albums, and we can discuss your requirements at our meeting.

Do you photograph group shots?

Yes…it is your day and I am there to record whatever you wish. At our meeting we can discuss ways in which the time taken for these shots can be minimized so that you can get back to your guests!

How many shots can we choose from and are the high resolution files available?

Depending on the amount of coverage, between 150-250 shots. These will be presented in a high quality personalized proof book for you to keep. Then, depending on which package you have chosen, you can choose 40 or 80 to have printed. The Art Book holds up to 65 prints, but more can be selected (ask for a quote).
All packages except one include a high resolution CD of all the images in your proof book. Copyright of these images remains with me, but you are granted personal usage rights so that you can make as many reprints as you like! The CD can be purchased separately.

Can we order reprints on-line?

For the packages including a High Resolution CD you can make your own reprints with obvious savings!
However, for the 'Simply Photographs' package that does not include the CD of high resolution images you can order on line by selecting the codes from the on-line gallery and e-mailing me your reprint order. Prices for reprints are shown on the 'weddings' page of the web site. Prints will be dispatched on receipt of payment.

Do you offer parents/bridesmaids or guest books?

Yes, for the 'Art Book' packages these are smaller copies of the final book chosen by the couple, but need to be ordered at the same time as the couple's book.

How do Gift Tokens work?

You could spread the cost of your photography by placing gift tokens onto your wedding gift list. Your guests contact me, and I provide a voucher for them to give you.
This amount is deducted from my final invoice.
These tokens start from £20.

Are you a member of a professional body and are you covered by insurance?

Yes…I am a member of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers, and have professional indemnity and public liability insurance.

Are you digital, can you print in Black & White or Colour?

I shoot with the latest professional digital cameras with quality Nikon lenses. Shooting digitally means I can provide you with many more photographs, and gives me the creative flexibility to retouch and print in colour, black & white, or traditional toning styles such as sepia, copper or blue.

Do you check out the venue beforehand?

I will check out the venue before the wedding so that I can plan for the groups and portraits of the couple.

What happens if Paul is ill?

In this unusual event I belong to a network of similarly qualified wedding photographers who could provide cover.

What if it rains?

In the unlucky event that it should rain, this need not spoil your photographs. In documentary style photography the rain is part of your day and so part of the photography.

What next…how do I book?

I only photograph one wedding a day so as to give you my full attention! Bookings are taken on a first come first served basis. Please call to check my availability, then we can arrange an informal meeting to discuss your requirements. A small booking fee is required to secure my services.
